Position Description :
Lango, a foreign-language program, is seeking teachers for its Spanish and Mandarin classes for young children (ages 1-7), to be taught in the Fort Worth Area.
Responsibilities :
- Teach 45 minute classes to one or more of our class levels :
◦ Parent & Tot for children ages 18 months-3 years old
◦ Pre-school for children 3-5 years old
◦ Elementary for children 5-7 years old
-Use feedback gained in teaching these classes to further develop and improve the curriculum and materials.
-Make recommendations for general operation, instruction and service delivery.
Required Qualifications :
-Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin – native or bilingual
-Experience teaching young children, preferably in a Spanish/Mandarin language context
-Creative, flexible and hard-working in general; energetic and engaging with children.
-Some academic background in Spanish/Mandarin language and Spanish/Mandarin instruction, preferably to young children.
Other Beneficial Qualifications :
-Experience with children's theatre, music or art.
-Crafting and games experience
-Singing, dancing, or theatre acting experience.
Hours and Compensation :
Hours are quite flexible. Our classes for Tot & Parent and Pre-school are typically in the am and Elementary classes are in the late afternoon. Most classes are Monday through Friday.
This is a part-time teaching opportunity . The number of classes you teach will depend on your availability. Hours typically range from 2-6 hours a week. Ideal for student or anyone with a part-time or flexible schedule. Compensation ranges from $15 to $20/ class.
